Mission/Vision Project: All.  Will handed out the first completed draft of our mission and vision statements.  All council members are asked to read and critique before our next Saturday meeting (3/12).  Our plan is to have town hall meetings with parishioners after the first draft is approved.  Meeting with Karen Rinefierd is Saturday 3/12 in the church hall from 9-noon.  First Communion practice is also scheduled for the hall at the same time but will be moved.

Parish/School happenings: Father Felix.  1) Father explained that the finance council is only making a first pass at the census of the church.  No names are being pulled from the list of parishioners.  When the first pass is complete the names will then go the parish staff  for input.  Currently Paul Murphy is going thru the list of names to see if  they have passed away. 2) Randy has been let go from his position at St Michaels.  Maintanance duties will be filled by Dominick Vitaro on a part time basis (9-noon). 3) To break even at the school we need 35 more children enrolled or raise $150,000.  There was a meeting of the school with prominent people of the community but it was poorly attended.  Plan now is to contact alumni and contact other churches in the area about sending their children to St Michael’s School.

Staff Appreciation Luncheon:  Lee Lauster.  Set for May.  Exact date TBA.

Selection of new council members: Pat Albrecht.  There will be three slots that need to be filled for the next year (One space has been open, Will and Dan are completing their 3rd year).  Nomination forms to be put in the pews the weekends of 4/30 and 5/7 with the new members selected 5/14.

Spirit Alive Update: Will Trout.  A meeting of the team will be held on 3/8 to plan the end of year dinner to be held in May.  Bible Study ends in March.  Plans for next years stud TBA.

Website Update : Will Trout.  Will to continue to meet with the Porters for additional training.

Rummage Sale Update: Betty Colasurdo.  Set for the sale is the first week in April with the sale the 2nd week in April.  We are getting lots of donations for the sale.

Festival Update: Lawson Whiting.  Plans coming along well.  Lawson asked for volunteers to attend a meeting on 3/28 in the church hall to stuff envelopes for the cash raffle.   Discussion on how to promote the cash raffle….Sandwich boards, printed “money” to hand out during festival advertising raffle and where to purchase tickets.

Questions/Comments/Discussion: All.  1) Laminated copies of  hall cleaning list handed over to Betty for posting.  Paper copies to be made to hand out to people as they come to get the keys to the hall. 2) Ramp to school gym, Gary still investigating.  3) Souper Bowl Sunday raised $437.  4)  Father handed out a flier from Pat Cooper who would like to come in the spring and sell arts and crafts in the hall after mass.  Proceeds would benefit a vocational school in Fathers home diocese in Ghana.  Copy of flier attached in email.  5) World Day of Prayer at Methodist Church March 4?  Methodist Church set date but no additional information was available.
